She is married to the love of her life Darren Beck and they have six children. They have lived in Eagle Mountain for nearly 17 years. One of the great things she appreciates about teaching is knowing each student has tremendous potential for learning. She also loves to see the students find their voice as they interact with one another, and watch them develop their sense of humor, communication skills, and other human interaction skills.

She absolutely loves children and their sense of awe and excitement with learning. She loves the beach, spending time with her family, and enjoys serving others. She enjoys soda, chocolate, shopping and LOVES dates with her husband.

Cheryl Stoner: She is in her ninth year teaching with Knowledge Explorers! They taught her youngest daughter shortly after she turned 3, and she immediately fell in love with the curriculum and teachers and wanted to be a part of it. She has lived in Eagle Mountain since May of 2000. She and her husband have loved raising their four children (girl, boy, boy, girl) in this wonderful community. Prior to teaching with Knowledge Explorers, she graduated from BYU and spent 12 years teaching and coordinating in the secondary and elementary school setting. Subjects like biology, health, and human anatomy were so exciting to teach. During her early years' teaching, she returned to continue her studies through Weber State University and added Special Education training to her skill set. She was able to test students to recognize their strengths and areas in which they were struggling, which has always been a passion of hers. She truly loves learning, developing goals, and trying to help others to do the same using individualized and creative methods. Over the past 24 years, she has been a CPR and first aid instructor and operates her own business doing that. Additional things she enjoys doing include writing (mostly journal writing and children's books), running, watching sports and movies, doing crafts, and shopping.
